Previously Dean and Founder of the Faculty of Social Sciences, at the "Annunzio" University of Chieti-Pescara, President of the Social Work Course, PhD Coordinator in Social Sciences, Professor of Social Science Methodology, he also taught at the Universities of Teramo and L'Aquila. Philosopher of science and sociologist, he was trained at the University of Florence, and held study and research reports with the Sorbonne in Paris with Raymond Boudon, and with the London School of Economics and Political Science with Karl Popper , as well as with the University of Bologna with Professor Alberto Pasquinelli and Luiss in Rome with Professor Dario Antisieri. Founder of the journal "Ratio sociologica" of the University of Chieti, he has also been a member of the scientific and editorial committee of many other social sciences and humanities magazines such as "Itinerari", "Prospettive in Psicologia", "Il filo di Arianna" "Prospettiva Persona", "Journal of social housing". He is a member of scientific academies such as the Academy of Sciences of the Abbruzzi and the Regions of the Adriatic. He has received numerous awards and honors for his scientific activity: Golden Eagle in Corfinio; Gennaro Finamore in Lanciano; International Giuseppe Sciacca Awards in Rome; Award of Excellence, Faculty of Philosophy and Social Political Science, University of Iasi, Romania. He is the author of numerous scientific publications including monographs on the methods of Popper and Boudon, on the developments of contemporary epistemology, on self-organized socialization with empirical investigations in groups, and research in articles on the social mediation elaborating an original protocol established in the circuit of application.
